(Turn off your power supply)

· Find the electrical panel situated in your home

· Turn off the power of the particular room where you wanted to install the chandelier.

· As a precautionary measure turn on your light or fan to check your room has got no electricity.

(Prepare your ceiling electrical box)

· Remove any previously connected appliances like fan or light from the ceiling box.

· Check the wires properly coming out of the ceiling box.

· Check whether the ceiling box is connected securely to the ceiling and can support the chandelier weight.

(Assembling the chandelier)

· Most of the chandelier comes pre-assembled but it is wise to check whether yours is assembled or not.

· If assembled properly remove your light bulbs from the chandelier as you will screw them at the end as some fluctuations may damage your bulb.

(Determine the length of chain)

· Use a tape measure to determine the length of chandelier

· The ideal height ranges between 30 to 36 inches over a table with an 8 foot ceiling.

· For each additional foot over 8 foot add 3 inches.

· Cut off or remove the excess chain which makes it too wrong.

(Attaching the chandelier)

· Install the chandelier mounting bracket to top of the ceiling

· Take the hook at the end of the chandelier and put it into the bracket provided.

· Fix the mounting stem into the existing mounting bracket.

(Connecting the wires)

· Check the condition of wire

· Use your wire stripper to cut the damaged ends and strip off the insulated covering from the wires

· Connect the black ceiling wire from the circuit to the blick wire in the chandelier and twist them.

· Do the same with white wire neutral wire.

· Put all the left wire inside the canopy of the chandelier or ceiling box and close the lid.

(Insert the bulbs)

· Now insert the bulbs which you took out.

· Some chandeliers are pre-installed so you can skip this step.

Switch on your power supply, then the switch. Your chandelier starts to glow.

Follow the above-mentioned steps properly and you won’t face any hurdle in installing heavy chandelier.
